A Bit About Rachael
Rachael Ternes has been passionate about horses from an early age, having grown up on a cattle ranch near Tulsa, OK. After beginning formal riding lessons at age 8, her love for jumping and showing quickly blossomed. Over the years, Rachael has had the privilege of training with renowned professionals such as Julie Winkle, Joe Fargis, and Bernie Taurig, and has successfully competed in the Hunter, Jumper, and Equitation divisions across the U.S., including prestigious venues like KY Horsepark, Tryon, and Lamplight Chicago.
Specializing in teaching riders of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced, Rachael focuses on building confidence, independence, and sportsmanship in a personalized, fun, and safe environment. She also has a deep passion for working with green and young horses, creating individualized training programs that emphasize consistency, confidence, and empathy. Believing that horses perform their best when they feel their best, Rachael makes it a priority to understand and nurture each horse’s unique personality.
Currently, Rachael trains and competes with a variety of sale and client horses, while coaching students at local shows. She remains eager to continue growing as both a rider and trainer.
